not to nitpick, rather netpick , i was told by one eminent sanskrit schlor that - medhas - means fat ( kovvu in sanskrit) - medha means wisdom .

Launched by www.bponews.in and supported by www.drishti-soft.com the effort is very well funded and enabled to take this initiative in a consistent manner to deliver results. It is noteworthy that there is already support of leading Consumer Groups, Lawyers, Call Centers, BPOs, Banks and Telecom companies … a high-level meeting was called on 29th Feb 08 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, New Delhi which was well attended by representatives of the said stakeholders.

Hey Prasad,
I have recently come across this blog, though dates back to April 20, 2007. Good to know about a bunch of young entrepreneurs looking forward to make a great progress.
I would like to list a few suggestions for the name of the company:

1. I thought “OM” which is an abbreviation for “Orange Medhas”.
2. Later I thought if it is “OrMed” which sounds like “Armed” would be good.
3. You can say “medhas” as “wisdom” which gives us more possibilities like
“o-wiz” “oh-wiz” “orange-wiz”. The advantage of these names are like “wiz” can mean “wisdom” and also “wizard”.

Wish you good luck. Would like to know when the name is zeroed upon!!

ನಾನು ಪ್ರಸಾದ್. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ನಾಗಮಂಗಲವೆಂಬ ಪುಟ್ಟದೊಂದು ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕನಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವೆ. ವೃತ್ತಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕವೃತ್ತಿ, ಪ್ರವೃತ್ತಿ ಓದುವುದು, ಬರವಣಿಗೆ, ಗ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ.
ನನ್ನ ಸಣ್ಣ ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅರಸುತ್ತಾ ಹೊರಟವ. ಇಂತಹವನಿಗೆ ಅಂತರ್ಜಾಲ ಉತ್ತಮ ಮುನ್ನುಡಿಯಾಯಿತು. ಆದರೆ ಅಂತರ್ಜಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೀಲಿಸುವ ಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಅದೂ ಸಹ ಮಾತೃಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಅಷ್ಟು ಸುಲಭವಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಕೆಲವೇ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಯಿತೂ ಸಹ. ಆದರೆ ಅನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದು ನಿಮ್ಮ Indic Input Extension. ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾತೃಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೀಲಿಸುವುದು ಇಷ್ಟು ಸುಲಭವಾಗುವುದೆಂದು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಕೇವಲ ಅಂತರ್ಜಾಲದ ಬಳಕೆಯಷ್ಟೆ ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿರುವ ವಿಷಯ. ಅದರ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕವಾಗಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಭಾಷೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಂತರ್ಜಾಲದ ಅಥವಾ ಗಣಕಯಂತ್ರದ ಸಂಬಂಧದ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚೇನು ತಿಳಿದಿಲ್ಲವಾದರೂ, ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಭಾಷೆಯಂತೆ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಸಹ ಗಣಕಯಂತ್ರದ ಉಪಯೋಗ ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಅಷ್ಟೊಂದು ಕಷ್ಟವೇ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ನನ್ನ ಸಂದೇಹ. ಪ್ರಾಯಶಃ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತರವಿರಬಹುದು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಸೆ. ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರೂ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಎಂದಾಗಿರುವುದು ಒಂದು ಕಾರಣವಾದರೆ, ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆ ಸಣ್ಣ ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿರವುದೇ ನನ್ನ ಮಿತಿಯಾಗಬಾರದೆಂಬ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಬರೆಯಿರಿ.

Hello,

While using the Tamil font, I can’t figure out how to type the na that follows in a word like aRivALan. I can get the na that goes with a word like ‘tanthai’.

I looked around your website and couldn’t locate an answer. I would appreciate your help here.
